Our Nubuck Formal Vellies are handmade to the highest quality. 

Nubuck is a top grain leather that has been sanded or buffed on the grain side producing a velvet-like surface.  It is similar to suede, but is created from the outer side of a hide, giving it more strength and thickness and a fine grain. 

Our 'Formal Vellies' are a type of dress footwear that can be worn as a smart casual or daily shoe.

All our Formal Vellies are pre-treated with a Nubuck Protector that shields and guards them against oil stains and water penetration. However regular maintenance is suggested (check out our Suede & Nubuck Care Products in the Online Store under our Leather Range) to increase the longevity of your shoes. This is why we offer a FREE Nubuck Protector with every purchase so that you can continue to enjoy them.

Nubuck is soft to the touch but does scratch easily giving it a beautifully worn and rough look. We use a heavy 'stitch down' pattern on a rugged sole resulting in comfortable but long-lasting footwear. They are lined from heel to toe with leather suede, and the soles are made from a hard-wearing rubber compound that is durable and well-supported.
